The splashy, star-studded film, This is the Army, is based on the Irving Berlin Boradway musical of the same name. This movie is about military life during WWII and features notables such as Ronald Reagan, boxer Joe Louis, Kate Smith (singing “God Bless America”) and Irving Berlin. Directed by Michael Curtiz who also directed Casablanca.
