Movie 1: The Bat - Run Time 80 Minutes
This version of The Bat, the third remake, starring Vincent Price and Agnes Moorehead is certainly the most brutal and suggestive of all the versions. The plot centers on a murderer called the Bat, who kills hapless victims by ripping out their throats when he isn't busy searching for a million dollars worth of securities hidden in the old house he is living in. A great screenwriting job by director Crane Wilbur, as well as superb acting performances by both Price and Moorehead makes this a must-see horror thriller.
Movie 2: Shock! - Run Time 70 Minutes
In his first starring role, Vincent Price stars as Dr. Cross, a psychiatrist who is treating a coma-state young woman, Anabel Shaw (Janet Stewart). The young woman fell into a coma when she saw a man strike his wife with a candlestick and kill her. The deadly twist to the story is that Vincent Price is the killer and when the young woman wakes up, she recognizes Dr. Cross as the killer. This is when all hell breaks loose and Anabel Shaw must fight for her life or become another victim. Great first starring debut for Vincent Price in this thrilling psychological film.
