Hi! I’m Kathy Smith, and I’d like to congratulate you on making a decision to get into shape! Starting out can be tough, and that’s why I’ve created a special beginner’s program just for you – designed to increase your strength, flexibility and endurance. Along the way, we’ll include special health tips, including important information on back safety. And body check segments ensure that you’re working out safely – and effectively – for maximum results in the shortest time. Let’s get started!
The warm-up. This is the most important part of any exercise program. We’ll start with breathing exercises to get you energized, followed by invigorating stretches to get you ready for the real workout.
Body Awareness. The benefits of a good workout should last all day long. And learning the basics of your body, like posture awareness, is as important in personal fitness as the workout itself. We develop that awareness here, with strengthening and stretching exercises designed to increase your energy, flexibility and muscle tone.
Once you’ve made a commitment to exercise, you’re halfway there. And sticking with this program 3 or 4 times a week will help you get in your best shape possible. So join me. A healthier body and a positive outlook will convince you – Starting Out is the perfect workout companion for beginners!
