Sorrowful (Menjou) and his group of fellow bookies take to her, reluctantly at first, but their cynical ways start to rub off on her. Will a party set at Camelot bring back her faith in humanity?

Adolph Menjou stars as a jaded head bookie, “Sorrowful” Jones, who winds up playing reluctant papa to the curly-topped waif and soon falls under her spell. Helping Sorrowful with the rigors of instant fatherhood is the beautiful Bangles Carson (Dorothy Dell), a nightclub singer whose racketeer boyfriend Big Steve (Charles Bickford) is big trouble!
