Surf Crate made it's first appearance in Hot Wheels: Stunt Track Driver 2 and reappeared in Hot Wheels: Velocity X as a playable car. As of 2015 the surfboard is part of the interior. In the 2015 video release Team Hot Wheels: Build the Epic Race!, Rhett's Bone Shaker is destroyed by the Land Pirates and is replaced by a red version of Surf Crate, similar to the CFK28 version.
