The comic genius of Dabney Coleman (Tootsie, TV’s “Buffalo Bill”) highlights this wacky comedy tale about a suave con man who “converts” a failing television station to religious programming and financial salvation.

Television station KRUD is being buried in the ratings race and is well on its way to financial ruin. In a last ditch effort to save the sinking station, owner Millie Peebles turns to former boyfriend Marvin Fleece (Coleman), a sly promoter who devises a crazy scheme to save the station. He decides that religion is the answer, thus KRUD is “born again” as a K-GOD, a station dedicated to bringing its public around-the-clock religious programming. Some of the shows in K-GOD’s holy line-up include “Jump for Jesus,” an early morning exercise program; “One Life to Lose,” a soap opera with a biblical format; and “Healed for a Day,” a new concept in game shows. And that’s just the beginning… because Marvin is planning a “miraculous” show of shows that is destined to change the course of programming history!
