The story is about a conniving newspaper editor (Cary Grant) who does not want to let his ex-wife (Rosalind Russell) retire from reporting just to marry someone else. he trick's her into covering the hottest story in town, the execution of a murderer. Laughter abounds as Grant and Russell give a **** comedy performance.
